Nikki is originally from Portland, Maine and relocated to Clearwater, Florida in 1996, and has been in Hernando County since 2003.  Nikki has an extensive background in the health care industry, specifically in health care management and marketing.  Prior to leaving the corporate world to stay at home with her children, Nikki was the Director of Admissions at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill.

Nikki participates in the following community groups;

• Chocachatti Elementary School Advisory Council
• Best Practices of Inclusive Education (Hernando County) committee
• Exceptional Student Education Advisory committee, 2008-09, 2009-10
• Florida Inclusion Network, FILM / PATH parent trainer participant
• Exceptional Student Education Surrogate Parent, 2009
• First Hernando Youth Soccer, Recreational Division Team Mom
• Hernando Heat - competitive soccer - U9 Team Manager
• 2008, 2009, & 2010 Hernando County Autism Walk Committee / Organizer

Nikki lives with her husband, Todd, a Captain firefighter/paramedic for Pasco County, their son Kyle a 4th grader at Chocachatti and daughter Kaitlyn a 5th grader at Chocachatti.  Their family also includes four dogs, ranging in size from 5 pounds to 110 pounds.  On top of co-directing Special Students of Hernando, Nikki is a full-time Paraprofessional  in the Hernando County School District.
